Oy.
1999.10.31 - Yesterday and today, I had some extremely strange movie experiences; it makes me wince sometimes, when I consider how many great screenwriters out there aren't getting their screenplays produced because only a certain number of films get made in a year, and stuff like "The House of Haunted Hill" get made instead.
Oy.
I recently discovered that in having "streamlined" my graphics the other day, I inadvertently created quite a few broken image links.
Good going, Ape.
Good going.
My mistake was in trying to save time and cut corners.
Rather than deal with offending graphics individually, I did a mass find-and-replace on all my HTML files, and whoops!
All the GIFs that were supposed to remain GIFs got turned into JPGs, too.
Never mind that JPGs aren't animated, and never mind that the corporate logos I use to credit the makers of my tools come in only one flavor - and that starts with "G", not "J".
I'm just plain stupid sometimes, okay?
But enough said about that.
Let's talk about Halloween.
Friday, the company I work for went a little berserk.
All the departments decorated their work space and dressed up to present a Halloween theme.
And the winners got a cheesy-looking prize that they can proudly display in their "main area".
Woh.
It was like entering the twilight zone.
This year, Halloween falls on a Sunday, coinciding with the "Fall back" to Pacific Standard Time in this area.
For those of you who have no clue what that is, I'll just say that we move our clocks back one hour.
I'll explain the process another time - in the spring, maybe.
But on to other things... I completed my fugue project and am trying to decide how to integrate it into the rest of the site.
Ah, decisions, decisions.
For now, I think I'll keep it
here.
It's a good place as any.
