The guestbook entry you wrote impacted me in such a way that I just felt obligated to come to your site and see for myself. Because often those that are so sweet with praise are often far too modest for their own good. Never underestimate your writing. Age adds to experience. And your experience subsides any of my not yet lived experiences. You write beautifully, and you should never forget that.

Hi, nice clean site. But I found one problem, your GIF's take way too long to load. For example, your "fall 1999" banner" ie. opening.gif is about 74k bytes. You can optimized it down to 16k as .jpg, or bout 42k as GIF's with very little loss of quality, not noticeable. That's 25 second to download on a 28.8, as opposed to 5 seconds on a JPG. It matters unless all your potential viewers have cable modem's or ADSL, or equivelent service. If you need any help with the compression, I be glad to. =)
