Gallery

Most of my halfway decent artwork is hand-drawn in pencil or pen & ink, and because I don't have a scanner, most of what I first showed online were computer generated pieces, usually done with only a mouse on Microsoft Paint -- pretty primitive stuff.

When someone gave me Corel Photo House as a gift, I was thrilled, but I remained frustrated by the lack of control I had over my work. It just wasn't easy to work with, and as an untrained and amateur artist, I simply didn't have the patience for it.

Later, I discovered Jasc's Paint Shop Pro, and I was very happy with it for a while, teaching myself a few tricks simply by trying as many of the features as I could and creating designs from scratch. Animation Shop, which came with it, delighted the part of me that always dreamed of being a Disney animator.

But I still longed for more control. I wanted access to a scanner, and I wanted a drawing tablet.

I never did get a scanner, or a tablet, but I did manage to get a job where I had access to a few more tools that are standard to any working artist. I soon discovered Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and I mastered the use of an AGFA scanner.

Thanks to lunch breaks and holiday seasons, I'm finally able to showcase the following two gallery sets. Enjoy.
