Friday the 13th
Tim Russert passed today. H.E. is a really big fan of his and has never failed to watch Meet the Press every week, and I always know it’s Sunday if I hear that show’s theme song playing on TV and see H.E. sitting with the remote and marveling at the guests that Russert managed to get.
We missed the first announcement of this bit of news because I had a little bit of heart trouble this morning and had to go to the doctor to make sure I was fine.
(Yes, I’m fine, Mom.) 🙂
In any case, because H.E. was in the waiting room all morning for me, we missed the news until we got home. I’m no news junkie, but even I know what Tim Russert was to journalism and to politics.
What an awful, awful loss.

G,
I’m glad you’re fine.
What were your symtoms?
What is the Dr.’s diagnosis?
Please let me know….
Take care of yourself.
mom
P.S. We heard Russet’s passing while watching golf on TV yesterday.
Another media person passed away. I can’t remember the name.
I had heart palpitations while calmly reading work stuff on the computer. I felt fine otherwise — no pain, no blurriness, no dizziness. My EKG at the doctor’s office was normal. Plus, I’m getting my electrolytes tested, and I’ll be wearing a heart monitor for 30 days.
Just being extra cautious. 🙂
I’m glad. Please let me know how the monitor turns out when the 30-day is over.
