Crochet: Blue Starburst Hat and Scarf
It’s been a while since I’ve made a proper update, so here are photos of a hat and scarf I made last year, based on a hat and scarf I originally designed for Minnie. The original scarf was wider; I’ve made this one narrower, but it uses the same starburst stitches, shown here:
I’ve actually made this set about three times now, mostly because I wanted to write down the hat pattern in my notebook and re-create the pattern from my notes, in order to make sure it actually makes sense and to correct any mistakes I might have made in recording my stitches. The second set went to my rabbit, and the third and fourth half-sets—in other words, just the hats—went to my mother and to my sister. And now that it’s been a while since I’ve crocheted this pattern, I’ll probably do another set before I have someone else give my pattern a try for some quality control.
It amazes me that there are so many people out there creating their own patterns on a regular basis and submitting them to crochet magazines and how-to books. I find transcribing my patterns such a tedious process that I wonder if I’m doing something wrong. There must be an easier way, and I’d love to find it before I tackle transcribing my other patterns.
In the meantime, here’s another shot showing more of the hat and scarf.

Wow April! This is such a pretty design.
Thanks, Lyn! 🙂
Hello:
We here at “Bonnets for Bunnies” ask for your help and your support to get warm clothing to all the naked bunnies. Cute little bunnies are freezing all over the world, some even in warm climates you’d think would agree with them. It’s an outrage, and a fashion disaster on a global scale.
Won’t you please take a moment and send whatever you can to help our staff create stylish bonnets and scarves in delightful colors for the naked bunnies of the World? Once you do, you’ll find it’s rabbit forming.
