First, Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers out there, young and old!

Second, I owe a lot of people e-mail responses, phone calls, and thank you notes. By contrast, I’ve been unable to reach a few people—voice mail, full inboxes, and the like, and for those people, I will try again later. Mom included. (She must be working today on Mother’s Day. Employers not cool!)
