It’s my TV night, so I’m making this a quickie. I’m completely moved out but not completely moved in. I’ve boxes and boxes yet to unload, and I’d be done by now if not for all of H.E.’s still unpacked boxes surrounding mine.

We’ve had a tough time finding good restaurants around our new neighborhood. The first two we tried were awful, so bad that I seriously considered writing up some restaurant reviews just so I can lambaste their food and service in writing. The only two good places we’ve found so far are expensive—great for special occasions, but not for everyday eating, and we eat out a lot. We’re the sort of people who become “regulars” if we really like a place.

I’ll get around to writing more again. It’s not for want of ideas and content that I’m not writing; it’s more that I’m still looking for things crucial to my everyday living. I can’t find where I’ve packed my vitamins, my desk calendar, or my archive CDs with all my cover work on them.

Meantime, my head is full to bursting with things I want to blog. Like one of the main reasons I moved, other than to move back in with H.E.—crazy, crazy stuff you would never believe if I didn’t have proof, and I do.

The magic number is 5150. Borderline, or soon will be.

More on that when I have the time. For now, here are tenterhooks. Sit on them and wait.

I’ve some shows to watch.

  1. I guess we better enjoy the tv shows while we can considering the writers strike that is soon to affect shows. It’s going to be so sad when The Office quits showing original shows.

  2. Drew, on many of my favorite shows, they have five or six episodes in the hopper. So they’ll last through December but will go dry after that. They’ve already stopped production on a lot of shows because a lot of actors are supporting the writers. Their contracts are up for renewal in a few months, so they’re going to have the same battle; same goes for directors as well. Some of the IATSE folk are also showing support. Late night shows are immediately affected, of course, because they’re written daily, and soon, soap operas will run dry.

H.E. knew the strike was going to happen months ago. The last time there was a strike like this in the guild, EVERYBODY in the business lost money. I wish the studios would just give in already. The writers have a right to a share of the long tail’s profits.
