And they lived happily ever after … until their wedding night. Cinderella had no practical knowledge of lovemaking, and her theoretical knowledge wasn’t much more helpful. She knew that married couples disappeared behind bedroom doors early in the evening, made a lot of unusual sounds ranging from the loud and grotesque to the whispered and giggled, and came out the next morning glowing and grinning, replete with contentment. God only knew what went on in there.

So she didn’t know what to expect that night. She certainly wasn’t expecting the heated looks from her princely husband or his seating her at the foot of the bed as he knelt down in front of her, his handsome face easing into a lecherous grin. She couldn’t have anticipated his slow undressing of her, each delicately arched shoe removed from each foot in a sensuous slide. She could never have dreamed that he’d smooth the warm palms of his giant hands up her ankles, her calves, the backs of her knees, her thighs, and between her thighs … where he took a gentle hold of the tops of her stockings to slide them down, further down, and completely off, revealing limbs that no man had ever seen naked and creamy skin no man had ever touched.

Yet, even with her legs bared and her knees spread, he seemed to focus his gaze elsewhere, not at all where she thought he’d feast his eyes. His eager attention followed his wandering hands, at her ankles, her heels, her instep, her toes. Fixated, he ran his fingers across the surface of her soles and the balls of her feet, which tickled and made her tense, as she attempted not to giggle.

But … that was all he did.

That was all he EVER did.
