Feeling Lucky?

Feeling Lucky?

It’s Friday the 13th. I didn’t realize that until the day was almost over.

Anyway, if you’re feeling lucky and you’d like $50 for books, you might want to mosey on down to Annie Dean’s blog—she has a contest celebrating the release of her book. All you have to do is suggest a caption in her comments for the following photo:

Read 'em and weep!

…or you can blog about it, like I am here, and you’ll be entered in the drawing.

Doesn’t the chimp look like George Burns? Or at least like George Burns would have looked, had he actually lived to be 100 years old? Must be the cigar. It makes me wonder if the chimp can actually smoke it. I’ve seen monkeys get drunk on TV before. They steal drinks from the tropical tourist spots and get completely wasted on the alcohol. Completely wasted. They weave and stumble like drunks, and they get all belligerent. They probably look more like Mel Gibson than George Burns, though. But still very monkey cute.

I planned on having an actual post today—it’s one of those calendar days, so yes, that means I’m working on an easter egg—but I kept putting it off and putting it off, so instead, here I am posting about someone else’s blog post, which longtime readers know I rarely ever do. It was this or a photo for Photo Friday, but the topic is “The Blues” … and all I have in my photo archives that fits the topic are Huntington Beach skies.

I promise a legitimate post next time. Really!
