I had an interesting comment come up in my moderation queue, and I’m trying to determine if it’s real or not.

The post is my Matrix stereogram.

The comment is this:

Not the Wind, Not the Flag

Two monks were arguing about a flag. One said: `The flag is moving.’
The other said: `The wind is moving.’

The sixth patriach happened to be passing by. He told them: `Not the wind, not the flag; mind is moving.’

Mumon’s Comment: The sixth patriach said: `The wind is not moving, the flag is not moving. Mind is moving.’ What did he mean? If you understand this intimately, you will see the two monks there trying to buy iron and gaining gold. The sixth patriach could not bear to see those two dull heads, so he made such a bargain.

Wind, flag, mind moves.
The same understanding.
When the mouth opens
All are wrong.

Normally, I would mark it as spam as the comment doesn’t seem relevant. Nor does it seem to make sense. But it’s tagged onto a Matrix-related post, so perhaps all is not what they seem. For all I know it could be a comment on the spoons or the movie itself. One sees one thing. Another sees another thing. Both are right. Both are wrong. And the questions only inspire more questions, the answers falling sorely behind.

So the comment remains in my moderation queue until I am further enlightened, and if it still doesn’t make any sense to me a month from now, I’m hitting delete.
