Sketched While Waiting

Sketched While Waiting

I meant to post this yesterday, but my Mac’s video card decided to die on me before I could finish a project, forcing me to put everything aside while I looked for a replacement card. Anyway, bonus points to anyone who can tell me what I’ve sketched here and exactly where I was when I sketched it. It’s an unfinished sketch, but it should be recognizable enough. Share this post:

Doodle of the Week: Pencil Sketch of Girl

Doodle of the Week: Pencil Sketch of Girl

Silver Siren

Liquid Silver Books needed a rendering of their character “Silver”—she’s the mistress of their newsletter, Silver Siren. They already had a borrowed graphic of some silver-skinned female, with something that looked like scales on her back, so I figured Silver was a mermaid. What else does “siren” imply? Never mind that I’ve always been fond of mermaids. So here is Silver as a mermaid, with a Liquid Silver Books drop in the palm of her hand. I think they made…
