I know it’s not Friday, but screw it. I took this shot while in Perth, Australia. My godmother and I were at the river, looking at the black swans and other various birds—very, very relaxing. I don’t have many photos of my cat. She’s black, and she never stays still for the camera, so she’s hard to shoot. If I shoot her with the flash, she looks awful. If I shoot her in natural light, either the background looks great, and she’s a black blob; or she looks great, and the background is all blown out. If the natural lighting is great all around, cat and background, then she’s moving around and causing a motion…

Photo Friday: Best of 2006

I don’t really have a Best of 2006 shot, since no single shot of mine last year seriously caught my attention. But this is one of my many, many favorites of 2006. Taken in Australia, specifically at the Ayers Rock Resort, near the Lost Camel hotel. I can’t believe he let me shoot so many pictures of him.
